First Words

Imagine setting up a monthly or weekly outreach to your mailing list in no time at all. Imagine what it could do for your sales if you keep your name in front of the people who have chosen to stay in touch with you.

Here's the thing. Your subscribers (fans) signed up to hear from you. You are doing them a dis-service if you do not stay in touch regularly. It is your job to help them get to know you and to lead them to the point where they choose to buy from you.

One of my clients sends just one piece of art per month to her list. It usually sells right from the email. Another artist I know of sends a weekly email with a sketch and a quote to everyone on her mailing list. People remember her from that and get in touch when they need a gift, or want to treat themselves.

This short and sweet course will help you find just the right strategy for you and your art. It will help you learn to connect in a simple and authentic way to your fans.

Artists are not a one-size-fits-all community. That's where conventional marketing fails you. That's where buying ads fails you. That's where formulas and templates fail you.

Email sells art.

How can that be? Let's get started.

**Throughout this course, I am going to use the word *fans* when I talk about the people on your mailing list and potential buyers.

FANS (noun): friends, family, previous buyers, potential buyers, collectors, Facebook likes & friends, people who come to your shows or studio, people who signed up on your website, people you meet at the grocery store...(of course, you will be sending emails only to those who have given permission!)
